The University of Eldoret is proud to celebrate PROFESSOR MIRIAM KINYUA for her recognition as a finalist for the 2025 Women in Nuclear (WiN) Global Honorary Award.

The WiN Global Honorary Award is a prestigious international accolade that honours individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology, while promoting education, mentorship, and gender equality in the nuclear field.

Prof. Kinyua’s work in agricultural biotechnology, especially the use of nuclear techniques to develop improved crop varieties, has played a vital role in advancing food security and sustainable development in Kenya and across the region. Her efforts in research, capacity building, and mentorship have inspired many within and beyond the University.
