The University of Eldoret celebrates Lawrence Mwangi Kairegi, the 2024 Valedictorian from Mechanical Engineering, for receiving a fully funded African Union Scholarship—awarded to only one top student per country.

Lawrence is now pursuing an MSc in Mechatronics Engineering, specializing in robotics. His research focuses on AI-Powered Human-Robot Collaboration using a context-aware deep learning framework in virtual reality.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot praised Lawrence, stating his success "has lifted the flame of the University of Eldoret even higher."
