University Awarded During The Virtual East Africa Education Leadership Awards 2020

University of Eldoret was awarded during the Virtual East Africa Education Leadership Awards 2020 that took place on 10th November, 2020. The ceremony which was organized by Asian Confederation of Businesses with World Education Congress recognised the University's efforts in enhancing research, innovation and academic excellence within the region and beyond.

The criteria for award was based on institutions, and individuals who have made a difference to the lives of others, through enhancing a global reach and outlook and the ability to contribute value of societal change within their respective surroundings.

The awardees are intensely researched by the research cell which consists of Post Graduates in History and Management with over five (5) years of research experience. A list of shortlists of individuals and institutions which have done extraordinary work are then identified and a jury of senior professionals across the globe are tasked with the role of selecting the winner from the shortlist.

The University fraternity would like to congratulate the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Teresa Akenga who was among the awardees and was honoured with the Woman in Education Leadership Award for her instrumental role in overseeing the University towards a global outlook and contributing to societal change.

The East Africa Education Leadership Awards 2020 recognises individuals and institutions that have surpassed several levels of excellence and set an example as exemplary role models and leaders within their respective areas of operations. This year’s awards were part of the World Sustainability Congress, which advocates for sustainable leadership for both NGO’s Public Interests Groups and Governmental bodies.
