Hand-in-Hand East Africa (HiH-EA) Management Team Visits the University of Eldoret Outreach Centre

The University of Eldoret and Hand-in-Hand East Africa (HiH-EA) recently signed an MoU and Service Level Agreement (SLA) to train over 3,600 farmers within the six (6) sub-counties in Uasin Gishu on the horticultural value chain. The training sessions will be carried out in 4 phases  -  soil testing and fertilizer use, horticultural production, post-harvest handling and value addition and group dynamics.

As a follow-up to the agreement, the HiH-EA management team visited the OISC to discuss the status of the collaboration on Thursday, 19th September, 2024. The HiH-EA delegation was received by the OISC staff led by Dr. Heka Kamau, Dr. Abigael Otinga, Dr. Josiah Chiveu and Mr. Hillary Ketem. The HiH-EA delegation included Mr. Albert Wambugu, HiH-EA Kenya C.E.O.; Mr. Darius Mutwiri, Program Manager; Mr. Dennis Kathenya, Eldoret Branch Manager and Mr. Joel Mutuathe, Project Officer. The HiH-Sweden Program Manager, Mr. Jason Vogt and LIND Foundation (the donor) representatives, Mr. Jens Bruun (C.E.O., LIND Foundation) and Ms. Rikke Toudahl (Program Manager, Lind Foundation) accompanied the team.
