10th Students' Council

The elections of the 10th Students’ Council were concluded on 1st April 2023. The process which took over one month to complete began with the appointments of the Returning Officer (RO) and her Deputies by the Vice-Chancellor on 24th February, 2023. Subsequently, the Returning Officer and Dean of Students recruited a total of 16 members of the Students’ Electoral Commission (SEC). As a team, the Students’ Electoral Commission comprising the appointed final year students, the Returning Officer, and the Dean of Students’ delivered a seamless online election culminating in the election of the following as members of the 10th students’ council:

Induction

The office of the Dean of Students organized an induction for the members of the 10th Students’ Council at Hotel Kunste Nakuru from 2nd – 6th May, 2023. The training was officially opened by the Vice Chancellor on 4th May 2023, and graced by members of the University Management Board. Some of the topics/areas covered during the training include the following:

  11. The Role of Students’ Council in University Management; Issues and Challenges

During the induction, the Students’ Council developed a budget for their activities in the 2023/2024 financial/academic year.
