Linsey, a 22-year-old Kenyan, is preparing to step onto the international stage at the 52nd Miss Intercontinental competition, representing Kenya in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, from November 20th to December 7th. She hopes to share her story, advocate for education, and demonstrate that true beauty lies in making a meaningful difference. We wish her all the best as she embarks on this exciting journey.
Raised in Embu, Linsey grew up with resilience and determination, qualities that have shaped her path in both pageantry and life. As Miss Intercontinental Kenya, she has used her platform to champion education—a cause deeply personal to her. In Linsey's household, education was a rare privilege rather than a basic need, but with the steadfast support of her community and her grandmother, who sacrificed to keep her in school, she overcame financial challenges to pursue her dreams.
Later this year, she is set to graduate from the University of Eldoret with a degree in Education Science. Linsey is passionate about empowering young people in her community, believing that education is the most powerful tool for transformation. Through her advocacy, she strives to live up to the meaning of her Swahili name, "Zawadi," which translates to "gift," by being a source of positive change in her community.
Outside of her advocacy work, Linsey enjoys cooking, watching documentaries, and reading novels. She is also a talented singer and dancer and a dedicated teacher of biology and chemistry, using her role to inspire and mentor her students. Her journey in pageantry began as a personal goal, but after winning, she discovered that the role went far beyond the glitz and glamour. Embracing the influence that comes with her title, Linsey is committed to leaving a lasting impact and proving that beauty can truly be a force for change.
We wish her continued success and fulfillment in her journey.
