Bachelor of Science in Wood Science and Industrial Processes / Forest Products Technologies

Requirement:

  • A candidate must have passed the KCSE with a minimum mean grade of C+ and with a minimum grade of B- in the following cluster subjects: Alternative A (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geography or Wood Work) or Alternative B (Biological Science, Physical Science, Mathematics, Geography or Wood Work, any other subject from Group III
  • Admission may also be granted to outstanding diploma holders from recognized institutions provided that such candidates have passed their diploma courses with distinction or good credit with at least one year's relevant working experience.


Other entrants:

Eligible mature entrants will have either of the following qualifications:

  • Holders of Higher National Diploma from a recognized institution with a distinction or credit pass and at least two years' working experience in their relevant eld
  • Holders of qualications deemed by the University equivalent to National Diploma and with the relevant working experience
  • Candidates with equivalent qualications may also be considered. Diploma holders who meet the admission requirements will join the B.Sc. Wood Science & Industrial Processes course as follows: Distinction or Credit will join in the 2nd year of study; while Pass will join in 1st year of study
