The African Institute of Professional and Development Studies is an academic knowledge institute at the University of Eldoret, dedicated to the promotion of a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach to education and research between the different schools through collaborative research and exchange programmes within a transdisciplinary framework. Established in November 2024, the institute supports the vision to transform and reposition the University of Eldoret through commitment to advancing knowledge, using cutting-edge research and education. The AIPDS is also configured to facilitate collaboration and partnerships with local and international institutions to promote transformative education and research across various fields.

  7. Prof. Miriam Kinyua (Ph.D.), Professor of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology in the School of Agriculture and Biotechnology at the University of Eldoret. 
  8. Prof. Jackson Too, Academic leader currently serving as the Deputy Director for Research and Innovation at the Commission for University Education (CUE). 
  9. Odilia Anyachi Okonga (B.Sc.), Passionate advocate for educational reform in Africa.
  10. Prof Auma Okwany (Ph.D.), Associate Professor of Social Policy at The International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam in The Netherlands.
  11. Dr. Njeri Rahab (PhD), A mother, historian, decolonial scholar, and community activist.
  12. Dr. Elizabeth (Eliza) Ngutuku (Ph.D.), Research fellow at the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa (FLIA) in the London School of Economics and Political Science.
  13. Otieno Ong’ayo (Antony) (PhD), Political scientist by training. He is a research fellow at the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University. Visiting scholar at the University of Eldoret in Kenya.
