The University of Eldoret invites members of the public, farmers, livestock traders, and interested buyers to participate in a Public Auction of Bull Calves, Rams, Cows, and Bucks scheduled to take place at the University's Main Campus.

The auction presents an opportunity for individuals and organizations to acquire quality livestock from the University Farm through a transparent and competitive bidding process.

Auction Details

• Date: 23rd June 2026
• Time: 10:00 a.m.
• Venue: Sports Pavilion, University of Eldoret Main Campus

Livestock Viewing

Prospective buyers are encouraged to inspect the livestock before the auction date.

• Viewing Period: 10th June 2026 to 23rd June 2026
• Viewing Time: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily
• Location: University Farm, University of Eldoret Main Campus

Conditions of Sale

The following terms and conditions shall apply during the auction:

• All livestock shall be sold on an "as-is-where-is" basis.
• The sale shall be subject to reserve prices set by the University.
• Interested bidders will be required to pay a refundable registration deposit of KShs. 2,000 to obtain a bidding number and qualify for participation in the auction.
• Successful bidders shall pay a 25% deposit of the purchase price immediately upon the fall of the hammer.
• The remaining 75% balance must be settled within seven (7) calendar days. Failure to do so shall result in forfeiture of the 25% deposit.
• Livestock shall be awarded to the highest bidder.

Proof of payment must be presented at the University of Eldoret Cash Office during normal working hours.

Collection of Purchased Livestock

Successful bidders are required to collect purchased livestock immediately after payment or no later than 30th June 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Failure to collect livestock within the stipulated period will attract a maintenance charge of KShs. 1,000 per animal per day, at the purchaser's risk.

Catalogue Availability

A detailed catalogue containing the list of livestock available for sale together with their reserve prices can be:

• Downloaded using the link below free of charge; or
• Purchased from the Farm Department at a cost of KShs. 200.
