Directorate of Open, Distance and e-Learning (ODeL)

The Directorate of Open, Distance and e-Learning was formed in July 2020 out of the realization that there is a need to enrich and broaden the learning experience of all students within the University. This has also been driven largely by the desire of the University to establish alternative and innovative opportunities to complement the face-to-face teaching and learning methods. The Directorate works with all Schools to enable them to deliver teaching and learning to all students within the University.

Income Generation Units (IGU) Directorate

The University of Eldoret has increased in size of its operations since its inception in 2013. For these operations to run smoothly, adequate finances are needed. However, government funding is subject to many factors, which have led to a decline in capitation. As a consequence, the university has embarked on a strategic objective to strengthen resource mobilization and utilization by improving liquidity ratios. The IGU Directorate, therefore, has been established to supplement the university's financial base and bridge the budgetary deficit.

Directorate of Strategic Planning and Performance Contracting

The Directorate of Strategic Planning and Performance Contracting (SPPC) is mandated to facilitate the University's strategy, through a Strategic Plan and Performance Contracting. The Directorate operates by leading the formulation and execution of planned activities, with guidance from Article 10 (4) of The Public Service Commission (Performance Management) Regulations, 2021.

Directorate of Quality Assurance

The Directorate of Quality Assurance (DRQA) is one of the six directorates that were established after we were chartered in February 2013, this was upon the recognition of the importance of Quality Assurance in Higher Education.

The Directorate was established to perform the following functions as per the University of Eldoret Statute XXVII:
