University’s 8th International Interdisciplinary Conference (8IIC-2023)

The Production of new knowledge through the practices of research and publications has been central at the heart of the university’s mission. Traditionally, universities relied heavily on formal publication systems as a means of disseminating research findings from their scholars. However, with the coming of newer digital technologies, a modern approach to research dissemination through hybrid and virtual conferences has been embraced which has enhanced a broader range of dissemination possibilities of research and publications.

UoE join in the National Tree Planting Day - November 13th, 2023

1st Edition of Making UoE Green

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot led the UoE community in marking the Green Holiday (National Tree Planting Day) held on Monday, November 13, 2023, next to Gate “C” where 1,000 trees were planted as part of the University’s walk to plant 36,000 trees by June 30th, 2024.  The Environmental Sustainability Committee under the leadership of the Chair Dr. Munyao and Mrs. Jane Kiragu organised the event.

The Sustainable Water Pan Project spearheaded by the Project Principal Investigator Dr. Frank Masese and the co-principal investigator Prof. Hellen Ipara hosted their partners from IHE-DELFT Institute for Water Education from the Netherlands at the University of Eldoret on Friday, 22nd September, 2023. The team comprised Professor Ken Irvine a renowned professor of Aquatic ecosystems at the IHE DELFT who holds vast experience of the global challenges facing water and habitat quality on a range of lakes and catchments in Europe and Africa and Dr.
