The one-day training provided students with practical exposure to entrepreneurship and startup development. Participants engaged in sessions covering ideation, Lean Canvas business modeling, product development through Design Thinking and prototyping, pitching and storytelling, and market entry strategies. The interactive training encouraged group work, mini-pitching sessions, and peer learning to allow the students to refine their ideas and gain confidence in presenting them. The training attracted enthusiastic participation from over 140 students eager to sharpen their innovation and commercialization skills. This complemented the objectives of the just concluded 7th Annual Innovation Week by equipping participants with practical tools to transform ideas into viable, market-ready solutions.

Through partnerships such as this, the University of Eldoret continues to strengthen its innovation ecosystem and expand opportunities for students to access mentorship, training, and national innovation networks. The University remains committed to leveraging strategic collaborations to nurture youth-led innovation and contribute to sustainable socio-economic development which is in line with the University’s mission of meeting the needs and aspirations of a dynamic society.
