The University of Eldoret Management has taken note of, and strongly condemns, unfortunate remarks reportedly made by one of its part-time lecturers during a class session on September 24, 2026, while teaching SHUM 211: State and Society Development at ED5.

We wish to state unequivocally that these remarks do not represent, reflect, or in any way constitute the position, policy, or official views of the University of Eldoret.

The University upholds the highest standards of professionalism, academic integrity, respect, inclusivity, and responsible conduct. All members of staff, including part-time lecturers, are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with University policy, applicable law, professional standards, and the obligations of their engagement with the institution.

Accordingly, immediate and appropriate disciplinary action has been instituted in line with University policy, regulations, and due process. We will not hesitate to take further action where any staff member's conduct is found inconsistent with these standards.
