Vice-Chancellor meets with the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret

Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot held discussions with Bishop Dominic Kimengich from the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret. The talks covered a wide range of issues mutually beneficial to the University, the Church and the Society and how the University and the Church can partner to ensure wholistic upbringing of the youth in Educational institutions like Universities.

University Council Member visit to the University

Ms. Lindah Laboso, our recently appointed member of the University Council representing the Principal Secretary, State Department for Higher Education and Research, Ministry of Education, was hosted for a guided tour of both the Main Campus and the Eldoret Town Campus by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Planning, Research and Extension), Prof. Philip Raburu. This excursion formed an integral part of her induction programme designed to familiarize her with the operational domains of the University.

Vice-Chancellor meets with Nursing Council Leadership

The Vice-Chancellor received a delegation from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK), led by Ms. Betina Muthama, Director of Nursing Services (MOH) and Deputy Director of Education and Examination at NCK, along with Mr. Kevin Ngeno, Compliance Officer at NCK, and Ms. Pauline Okongo, Administrative Officer. The University management and the Nursing team engaged in successful deliberations on matters concerning the Nursing curriculum.

Disability Inclusion Sensitization Workshop

The Disability Mainstreaming Committee, in collaboration with the National Council for People with Disabilities (NCPWD), organized an awareness workshop for members of the University community. The workshop delved into various facets of disability inclusion that impact both the staff and students.
