The Directorate of Gender Equity and Diversity, in collaboration with the University Health Clinic, conducted a one-day GBV Training Workshop on February 14, 2025, at the University of Eldoret NS-3 Conference Hall. The event targeted UESO student council members, class representatives, and halls of residence leaders, with high student participation. The training was facilitated by Kingdom Excellence Assembly (KEA), a humanitarian organization of young medical doctors, including Dr. Ian Mwangi, Dr. Frank Ndirang’u, Dr. Esther Wanjama, and others.

A candle does not dim by lighting others! Our dons visited Eshikulu Girls High School in Kakamega County to celebrate the 2025 International Day for Girls and Women in Science. The visit was conducted on 8th February 2025 by Dr. Becky Aloo, Dr. Emily Chemoiwa and Prof. Argwings Otieno from the School of Science and they spent the whole day offering various STEM mentorship sessions packed with fun and interactive activities that empowered young scientists to explore their limitless potential.

The issuance of certificates and academic transcripts for the 2024 graduates officially began on 9^th February 2025. 

All 2024 graduands are kindly advised to complete their clearance as soon as possible to ensure a smooth and efficient process. We encourage you to take prompt action to avoid any delays and to facilitate the timely receipt of your certificate and transcript.

Thursday 6^th February, 2025 was the beginning of a new chapter in the University of Eldoret as the African Institute of Professional and Development Studies (AIPDS) was officially launched by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot.

The University of Eldoret Environmental Students Association (UEESA), in collaboration with the Environmental Sustainability Committee, participated in the World Wetlands Day 2025 celebrations at Leseru Dam, Sosiani Wetlands, Turbo Constituency. This global event, observed annually, seeks to highlight the critical role of wetlands in climate regulation, biodiversity conservation, and community livelihoods.

University of Eldoret was first certified to the ISO 9001:2008 on 20th June, 2016 and transited to the revised ISO 9001:2015 Standard in 2018. Upon successful implementation of the requirements of this Standard, the University was re-certified in December 2021 marking the beginning of the 2nd cycle of certification which ended in May 2024.   In June 2024, a re-certification audit was conducted by the Kenya Bureau of Standards Auditors namely: Mrs. Florence Ouma (Team Leader), Mrs. Isabella Lunani and Mr. Wilson Koskey.

Dr. Ismail Buro Hassan, the Chair of the University Council and Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot, the UoE Vice-Chancellor hosted the President of Life University Dr. Rob Scott and the Vice-President Global Initiatives Dr. John Downes to cement the relationship between the 2 institutions. The 2 Life University Alumni, Dr. Josephine Kandie and Dr. Silah Misoi were on hand to see their dream for the Chiropractic degree to be offered in Kenya actualize in University of Eldoret. During L.U.

President Dr. Rob Scott (Life University) and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot (University of Eldoret) will lead the team developing the joint programmes in Sports Health Science and Chiropractic. The implementation team at UoE is led by Prof. Julius Ochuodho (Director, Resource Mobilization and Strategic Initiatives).

Dr. Rob Scott, President of Life University and Dr. John Downes, Vice-President of Global Initiatives and Dr. Josephine Kandie were taken on a guided tour of the University where they visited the School of Business, Economics and Management Sciences and met with the Dean, Dr. Caroline Ayuma. Thereafter they visited the School of Health Sciences and met with the Ag. Dean, Dr. Evelyne Rotich. As the progammes are centred around sports, the University’s Sports Grounds were visited.
