Accredited Private Hostels and Successful Hostel Applicants

All first-year students 2025 cohort are hereby notified that the University has limited bed spaces for accommodation on campus. Successful applicants for on-campus accommodation have already been notified.

However, the University works closely with private hostel owners to ensure availability of decent accredited private hostels for accommodation to all students. To assist students who wish to arrange for private accommodation, kindly access the list below and the details of accredited private hostels.

Sensitization of suppliers on the need to register in the Electronic Government procurement system

The National Treasury is rolling out an end-to-end Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system to all Procuring Entities in both the National and County Governments. This is one of the Public Finance Management Reforms that is geared towards efficiency and value for money in the Public Procurement. The e-GP system rollout is in line with the directive by His Excellency, the President in his State of Nation address on 21st November, 2024 that the National Treasury rolls out the e-GP system by the first quarter of 2025.

Outreach Centre and HiH-EA Impacting the Community through Farmers’ Trainings

As part of the implementation of the MOU between the University of Eldoret and Hand-in-Hand East Africa, the Outreach Centre conducted a series of farmer training sessions across different sub-counties within Uasin Gishu county between April and June, 2025. These sessions covered a range of horticultural and agricultural practices tailored to the needs of local farmers. The training sessions were facilitated by experts from the University of Eldoret and Ms. Anne Njoki, the staff in charge of trainings at the Outreach Centre.

CGA Farmers from Laikipia County Training on Potato Seedling Production at the University of Eldoret Biotechnology Lab

On June 17, 2025, thirteen (13) farmers and three (3) staff from the Cereal Growers Association (CGA) participated in a day-long training session at the University of Eldoret’s biotechnology lab, focusing on potato seedling production. Ten farmers were drawn from different potato farming groups in Laikipia County, notably Karuga Youth Group, Gatero Women Group, Wakulima Group, Muhotetu Group, Peace Makers Group and Makutano B. Women Group, Sipili.

UOE-OC and Core Health & Wealth Training on Value Addition of Vegetables at Kibisi Gardens, Mbakalo Ward, Bungoma County

As part of the implementation of the MOU between UoE and Core Health and Wealth International, the Outreach Centre carried out a farmers training on ‘Post-Harvest Management and Value Addition of Leafy Vegetables’ on 11th June, 2025 at Kiibisi Gardens, Mbakalo Ward in Bungoma County.
