University of Eldoret Hosts its Second Hult Prize On-Campus Program for Students

The Second Hult Prize On-Campus Program was held on 25th February 2026. The Hult Prize, which is often referred to as the “Nobel Prize for Students,” challenges university students worldwide to develop business solutions that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This year, the University of Eldoret proudly joined several other global University campuses and hosted its second On-Campus Program—an extraordinary opportunity for students to showcase their innovative ideas and passion for positive change.

The University Launches a Student-Led Innovation Club

A student lead Innovation Club was officially launched on 6 February 2026 during the closing ceremony of the 7th Annual Innovation Week and Public Lecture to strengthen the University’s Innovation Ecosystem. The Club was established to serve as a hub for students to ideate, collaborate, and develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges, with a focus on sustainability and impact. Whereas the Club is student-led, with students serving as ordinary members, staff and alumni are welcome to participate as associate members to provide mentorship, guidance, and support.

University of Eldoret Students Excel at Red White & Build US–Kenya Hackathon Finals

The University of Eldoret proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of four of its students who represented the institution with distinction at the prestigious Red White & Build US–Kenya Hackathon national finals held at the US Embassy in Nairobi. The hackathon was organized by STEM Impact Center Kenya in partnership with the U.S. Embassy Kenya and brought together top student innovators from across the country to develop technology-driven solutions addressing real-world challenges.

University of Eldoret Holds a Disability Awareness Workshop

The University held a Disability Awareness Workshop at the Kenya School of Government (KSG), Baringo, from 30th January to 1st February 2026. The workshop aimed at promoting awareness, inclusion, and disability mainstreaming within the University. The workshop brought together university management, staff from the Dean of Students’ Office, members of the Disability Mainstreaming Committee, students with disability and key stakeholders from national and county government.
