University of Eldoret Conducts ISO 9001:2015 1st Surveillance Audit

University of Eldoret conducted the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System 1st Surveillance Audit at the Nairobi Liaison Office and the Main Campus from 7th - 9th April, 2026. Prior to this, the University had been re-certified to the same Standard in 2024 for a 3-year cycle, this was a clear indication that our Quality Management System was effective. The purpose of this Surveillance Audit therefore to was to determine the level of implementation of this Standard.

Prof. Miriam Kinyua: Giving Confidence to Gain an Equitable Future

Professor Miriam Kinyua is an esteemed Kenyan agricultural scientist and academician, presently serving as a Professor of Plant Breeding and Biotechnology at the School of Agriculture and Biotechnology, University of Eldoret. Her specialization encompasses the advancement of crop varieties through plant breeding and biotechnology techniques, with an emphasis on creating enhanced and climate-resilient crop varieties that support food security and facilitate sustainable agricultural development.

Dr. Charlotte Atsango Serrem

Dr. Charlotte Atsango Serrem is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Agriculture and Biotechnology at the University of Eldoret and currently serves as the Head of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. She holds a PhD in Food Science/ Nutrition from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, an MSc in Food Science/Human Nutrition from the Universities of Strathclyde and Glasgow, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Nairobi.

Dr. Robert Aming’a

Dr. Robert Aming’a is an accomplished scholar, teacher and teacher educator with an experience of over 30 years having successfully served in various secondary schools, teacher-training colleges and now at the University of Eldoret as a Home Science and technology education specialist. He holds a PhD in Curriculum Studies with bias in Home Science education (University of Eldoret).
