University of Eldoret Hosts KeNIA for Institutional Commercialization Support (IS) Program Self-Evaluation

The University of Eldoret is among 11 universities in Kenya in Cohort 3 of the Institutional Commercialization Support Program, by the Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA), to enhance the entrepreneurial maturity of higher learning institutions.

On 8 October 2025, the University hosted a delegation from KENIA for the first phase of the IS program, which involved conducting the Entrepreneurial Institutions Maturity Framework (EIMF) Self-Evaluation and Masterplan Development exercise.

Results: Inter/Intra School Transfers

This is to notify you that, following the advert dated 8th September 2025, Ref. UoE/B/RGAC/IT/088 for the 2025/2026 Academic Year Inter/Intra School Transfer applications and subsequent validation through the KUCCPS portal, a total of 757 applicants were successful and 583 applicants were unsuccessful.

The results for the Inter/intra School transfers can be accessed below.

Open Day for The System Changer Network (SCN)

On Tuesday, 30th September 2025, the Outreach Centre of the University of Eldoret, represented by Dr. Heka Kamau, participated in an open day for the System Changer Network (SCN) at the Olukulu Guest House, Webuye. The theme was to explore the "Power of collaboration in driving sustainable development in Kenya." There was a panel discussion on how multi-sector networks can be mobilized for holistic community transformation.

University of Eldoret Marks The 2025 International Microorganisms’ Day

International Microorganisms Day is a worldwide event to promote the diversity and variety of microorganisms. It is a way to encourage everyone to recognize and celebrate the many ways microscopic organisms are important in human health, culture, economic activity, employment, and, throughout our daily lives. This year, the Department of Biological Sciences, with the generous support of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) marked the day on 19th September 2025 at the University Eldoret Grounds to educate the public about the importance of microbes and microbiology in human welfare.
