The University of Eldoret has been selected as one of only 11 universities in Kenya to join Cohort 3 of the prestigious Institutional Commercialization Support Program (ICSP), spearheaded by the Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA) in collaboration with strategic partners. The ICSP is designed to strengthen the capacity of universities and research institutions in translating research outputs into commercially viable products and services.

True to our motto – the Flame of Knowledge and Innovation, University of Eldoret students achieved top honors at two national events – the Eldoret City Innovation Challenge 2025 and the International Youth Day Hackathon held in Uasin Gishu County.

On 24^th July 2025, the University of Eldoret Outreach Centre, in partnership with Customized Aviation Solutions (CAS), conducted a Drone Awareness Training at Kuona Mbele Farmers’ Society. This event followed a needs assessment conducted in May 2024, during which farmers expressed keen interest in adopting modern agricultural technologies to improve efficiency, reduce production costs, and embrace climate-smart practices.

University of Eldoret (UoE) conducted a sensitization workshop for the University’s top leadership on three ISO Standards. This workshop was held on 21^st and 22^nd July, 2025 at Sawela Lodge in Naivasha.

On 28^th July, 2025, University of Eldoret held its xxth public lecture on the future of higher education and its financing. This was delivered by Dr. Dieter Dohmen, the CEO and Managing Director of FiBS Afrique Ltd. 
The public lecture covered among other things trends shaping higher education, funding of higher education, and equally examined innovative university funding options.
